Tarrant County adopts new rules for renting facilities amid Fort Worth event controversy
Tarrant County has a new policy in place to regulate the use of county facilities by private groups and individuals. County staff created the policy to “ensure that county facilities are utilized for the efficient operation of government business and to ensure the safety of all employees and members of the public who are present at said facilities,” according to the seven-page document. The policy, which county commissioners approved July 16, will go into effect Aug. 1.
Celina government center project moves forward, seeks local bids

Allen Public Library to close beginning August 1 for expansion, renovation
The Allen Public Library will close to the public from Aug. 1 until mid-to-late September during the library's expansion and renovation project. During construction the library will set up a temporary operation at Rountree Elementary. Items that were checked out at the end of July will have an extended due date until the temporary location opens. Allen’s digital library will remain open at AllenLibrary.org/DigitalLibrary, and residents 18 and older can apply online for a 90-day digital-only card that offers access to the digital library.

The McKinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square is seeking community support in the 16th annual America's Farmers Market Celebration.
