Mario Cristobal and his Miami Hurricanes are starting to light up their 2025 recruiting class.

The Canes have landed six commitments in the last two weeks in safety Amari Wallace, linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin, linebacker Gavin Nix, cornerback Chris Ewald, defensive end Herbert Scroggins, and now safety Hylton Stubbs.

Stubbs commitment now gives the Canes the No. 11 overall recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports. He now makes 16 commits for Miami.

The four-star safety ranks as the No. 56 ranked player in the class of 2025. He's the No. 6 ranked safety and No. 9 ranked player in the state of Florida.

Stubbs chose Cristobal and the Canes over Billy Napier and the Florida Gators after both hosted official visits. Stubbs was also a former USC commit.

"I chose Miami because I believe in coach Cristobal's leadership and the great coaching staff, including Guidry, Jackson, Taylor, Nicholson, Rumph, and Felix. Miami also offers a big market to help me build my brand," Stubbs told InsideTheU.

Stubbs added, "When I told the staff I was committing, it was a moment filled with excitement. I had visited Miami many times and felt a strong connection to the team and campus. My family was fully supportive, and the staff was thrilled when I shared my decision."
