Drake Lands Three Golfers on All-American Scholars List

(Coral Springs, Fla.) Amer Henson, Erika Holmberg and Julie Huggins were all chosen to the 2023-24 All-American Scholar Team announced earlier this week. The WGCA selected in total, 1,500 women’s golfers from 400 different programs and the Drake Bulldogs tallied three.

Sophomore Erika Holmberg led the team with a 4.00 GPA studying English and Secondary Education. Henson and Huggins posted a GPA of 3.53 and 3.83, both majoring in Finance.

To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur on the team’s roster after the end of the season and play in at least 50 percent of the team’s scheduled rounds.
