Former Wilcox County teacher arrested for sexual exploitation of children

On July 24, 2024 the GBI arrested former Wilcox County teacher Lorenzo Dennard, age 34, of Atkinson County, GA. Dennard was charged with 77 counts of sexual exploitation of children, 3 counts of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor, and 1 count of improper sexual contact by an employee.

On Friday, June 21, 2024, the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate allegations that Dennard, a Former Wilcox County teacher and coach, had an inappropriate relationship with a former student.

Dennard was booked at the Wilcox County Jail and released on bond.
