Former NFL Player Sentenced for Coercion and Enticement of a Minor
United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Nicholas Murphy, age 44, of Phoenix, Arizona, was sentenced August 8, 2024, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska for coercion and enticement of a minor. United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Murphy to 57 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Murphy is released from prison, he will begin a 10-year term of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $20,000 fine and restitution to the victim.

Scottsdale Fashion Week is looking for models
Scottsdale Fashion Week (SFW) is gearing up for its Sept. 26 to 29 event by delivering a casting call to prospective talent in the area. There will be two auditions for fashion week on Aug. 17 and 24, respectively. Individuals 18 and older, male and female, can audition with the Ford/Robert Black Agency for a $35 audition fee. The casting calls will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Backyard Desert Ridge, 21001 N. Tatum Boulevard #14, Phoenix; and Saturday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Casa Amigos, 7320 E. Indian Plaza, Scottsdale.
