Gering High School received a generous $25,000 donation from Platte Valley Companies (PVC) for its agricultural education program. This contribution aims to boost the Gerring AG Greenhouse project, which will provide year-round agricultural learning. Trace Leetch, Gering FFA President, confirmed the greenhouse will improve in-class experiences and collaborations.
PVC's CEO, Hod Kosman, expressed his company's commitment to backing such educational expansions. He emphasized the vital role of agricultural programs and FFA in benefiting both the local community and the nation.
Work on the greenhouse is scheduled to begin this fall, with plans to be ready for use in the next school year. This project will provide a practical learning space for the students of the agricultural program. Kosman recognized the importance of cultivating young minds in the advancement of agricultural practices.
