CORNWALL, Conn. (WTNH) — A 39-year-old woman is facing charges after stealing more than $132,000 in antiques from a home in Cornwall, according to Connecticut State Police.

Jessica Ann Thompson, of Newtown, has been charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree larceny, with the property being worth possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars.

She stole paintings, art and other antiques, according to a police report. Among the missing items are Indian, Native American and Indonesian artifacts, small sculptures, magazines and antique masks. Other items like a chainsaw, power drill, a CD player and a chain saw were also taken.

Police initially found out about the burglary in September. When an officer arrived, books, paintings and other items were scattered throughout the house. The thieves also left an energy drink can behind.

The chainsaw was later found by a ranger at Macedonia State Park. Stolen items also were posted on an auction web site.

The can had the DNA of two people on it, according to state police. After receiving a sample from Thompson, it matched the DNA found on the can.

Thompson turned herself in to police on Tuesday, after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
