MIDDLEBURY — A local man was arrested early Thursday morning after Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop and suspected him of driving under the influence. Andrew R. Malzac, 31, of Middlebury, was pulled over on Weybridge Street near College Street at 12:50 a.m. Troopers detected signs of impairment during their interaction with Malzac.
Salisbury man cited for driving tractor with suspended license, lacking interlock device
CORNWALL — A Salisbury man was cited for driving with a criminally suspended license after his tractor struck a telephone pole on Cross Road near VT Route 30 on July 19. Vermont State Troopers were called to the scene at 1:03 p.m. where they found 39-year-old Richard Quesnel, who was mowing the road’s edges when his vehicle collided with the pole, causing wires to fall.

VERGENNES — While handing over a domestic assault suspect to Vermont State Police on July 11, Vergennes police ended up citing a Brandon man for driving with a criminally suspended license and processed him for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a Rutland court. ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police last week responded to a traffic accident in which a Bristol police cruiser went off the road during a rainstorm. On June 10 at a few minutes before midnight, Bristol Police Officer Armin Nukic was on duty and driving northbound on Silver Street in Monkton during a period of heavy rain and flooding roadways. Nukic, 35, of South Burlington, came upon power lines and a pole that were down and blocking the roadway.
