This week's Caller-Times Student of the Week winner is Kaylee Larson of Calallen High School.

Larson garnered 54.4% of the votes. Andrew Elizondo of Banquete High School was runner-up with 39.17% of the votes.

Here's what Calallen ISD shared about Larson:

"Kaylee Larson is in the top 10 of her graduating class and is extremely active in swim and golf at Calallen High School. She won first place in all four events that she participated in and broke multiple district swim records. At the recent Alice golf tournament, she shot an 81 which secured her third place award and bumped her team into first place by over 50 strokes. Kaylee achieves all of these while maintaining her grades in multiple AP classes."

Here's what Banquete ISD shared about Elizondo:

"(Elizondo is) a well-rounded student and athlete who shows good sportsmanship on the court and courteous behavior in the classrooms."

Also nominated was Jathan Ten Cate of Kaufer Early College High School in Riviera ISD.

More information about each nominee is available at caller.com.

Last week, Calallen High School's Brooke Lamb won the honor.

The nominations for next week's poll will be published online at caller.com on Monday morning. Voting will run from 5 a.m. Monday through noon Thursday.

School officials have the opportunity to nominate high school students. Nominations are accepted each week.
