Flour Bluff's Jayden Paluseo announces commitment to UTRGV for football, baseball

Flour Bluff senior athlete Jayden Paluseo announced his commitment to play football and baseball at the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley on Thursday on Instagram.

Paluseo, who was one of the Corpus Christi area's best multi-sport athletes, shined at quarterback after passing for 3,494 yards and ran for 393 yards with five touchdowns last season.

Paluseo completed 68% of his passes as he led Flour Bluff's offense to a record 43 points per game.

On the baseball field, Paluseo was named the Utility Player of the Year on the District 29-5A South Zone team and was a second-team pick on the All-South Texas team for his ability to pitch, play shortstop and catcher.

"I'm extremely blessed to announce my commitment to continue both my football and baseball career at the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley," Paluseo said on Instagram. "I'd like to thank my family and coaches for their continued help and support. Very excited to be a Vaquero."
