Sac City’s Cattlemen’s Steakhouse Celebrating Manger Being Recognized As Iowa’s 40 “Women To Watch” In Hospitality Industry
The restaurant manager for the Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in Sac City has been named one of the “40 Women to Watch” in Iowa’s Hospitality industry. Chelsea Funk has been nominated for her exceptional customer service skills, displaying a passion for her customers, the Cattlemen’s Steakhouse team, and the business. Funk has worked in service for most of her life, working in her mother’s bakery before becoming a server at the popular Sac City restaurant. It was not uncommon for customers to request to sit at one of Funk’s serving tables. A promotion to shift manager came quickly to Funk. She started working on the bar portion of the restaurant, spending almost a year and a half developing one of the top state craft cocktail and bourbon menus alongside the 2024 Top Mixologist Ellie Rastetter. Funk was nominated by her team, being defined as the “very essence of hospitality.” All 40 award winners will be recognized during the Iowa Restaurant Association Annual Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony on November 18, part of the Iowa Hospitality Showcase.
