Ithaca woman arrested in Owego drug, weapons bust
OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) — An Ithaca woman is one of three charged in a Tioga County weapons and drug investigation. Sheriff Gary Howard says deputies went to a home in Owego on June 4 to find 42-year-old Samantha McKibbin, who was wanted for violating probation. Inside the house, deputies say they saw drugs in plain sight. Nearly five ounces of meth, a sawed-off shotgun, and 551 dollars in cash were discovered. McKibbin and 47-year-old Dan Perry were charged with multiple felonies.

Dumpster Fire Quickly Knocked Out by Cortland Fire
Around 11:40 at night, on Tuesday, July 2nd, Cortland Fire was dispatched to a reported dumpster fire on Jackson Drive in the City of Cortland. As Cortland Fire was responding to the scene, an officer with the Cortland Police Department arrived at the scene confirming the fire and noted the siding on the garage next to the dumpster was beginning to melt. Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes of the call.
