    Local Ohio Lottery player wins $50,000 on scratch-off ticket

    CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN)- A local Ohio Lottery player won big on a scratch-off ticket recently at a local gas station.

    The Ohio Lottery announced on Monday that a customer of Circle K #5427 won $50,000 playing the Ohio Lottery’s Cash Explosion 25X scratch-off game.  The gas station is located on the 200 block of South High Street in Cortland.

    The release states that with mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 28%, the winner will receive $36,000.

    According to the Ohio Lottery, Cash Explosion 25X is a $5 scratch-off game that has a top prize of $150,000. As of July 22, there are four top prizes remaining in the game.
