Vehicles that are more than a century old will again be touring through Wright County Saturday during the 38th Annual New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run. The run is patterned after the prestigious London to Brighton Veteran Car Run held annually in England. All vehicles must be pre-1908, or 1 or 2 cylinder vehicles manufactured up to 1915. Man injured in fall from roof near Hector
(Hector MN-) A Paynesville man was seriously injured after falling from a roof near Hector Friday morning. The Renville County Sheriff's Department says 35-year-old Jerman Lieser was working on the roof at a farm site on County Road 11, north of Hector, at 07:56 AM, when he fell about 9 feet from a roof and hit his head on a scissor lift. Lieser suffered serious injuries from the fall and was flown to a trauma center. Assisting at the scene included the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Hector Ambulance, Hector Fire & Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol, and North Memorial Air Care.

Browerville is a small town of 839 people in Central Minnesota north of Sauk Centre along Highway 71 in Todd County. Browerville was platted in 1882 and was named for Jacob V. Brower. He lived from 1844 - 1905 and was a noted conservationist and is considered to be the father of Itasca State Park and the Minnesota State Park system. Browerville was incorporated in 1884.
Teen hospitalized after boat sinks near Battle Lake
OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN — One teen boy is hospitalized after a boat sank in Deer Lake, near the town of Battle Lake. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says they learned of the incident at approximately 9:41 p.m. On arrival, deputies say four teens were found in the water, with the 911 caller pulling the teens from the lake and bringing them to shore. Three of the teens were uninjured, but another was transported to Lake Region Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
