Teen hospitalized after boat sinks near Battle Lake
OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN — One teen boy is hospitalized after a boat sank in Deer Lake, near the town of Battle Lake. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says they learned of the incident at approximately 9:41 p.m. On arrival, deputies say four teens were found in the water, with the 911 caller pulling the teens from the lake and bringing them to shore. Three of the teens were uninjured, but another was transported to Lake Region Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Man injured in fall from roof near Hector
(Hector MN-) A Paynesville man was seriously injured after falling from a roof near Hector Friday morning. The Renville County Sheriff's Department says 35-year-old Jerman Lieser was working on the roof at a farm site on County Road 11, north of Hector, at 07:56 AM, when he fell about 9 feet from a roof and hit his head on a scissor lift. Lieser suffered serious injuries from the fall and was flown to a trauma center. Assisting at the scene included the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Hector Ambulance, Hector Fire & Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol, and North Memorial Air Care.
