UC academic worker strike over pro-Palestinian protests ends, officials say
University of California officials said the graduate worker strike across six UC schools has ended, the Orange County Register reported. Representing about 48,000 teaching assistants, tutors, researchers and other academic workers, the union, United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 4811 started a rolling strike at UC Santa Cruz in May, followed by UCLA, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego, to protest how the University of California system handled pro-Palestinian protests on campuses across the system.

New 2-story bldg. for Santiago
Santiago High School in Garden Grove will be getting its first multi-story building this fall with the construction of a new modular two-story building . The new structure will include 24 classrooms with an elevator and restrooms.
