Clothing shop opens in Wildwood
Lauren Yokum has a passion for fashion, and with the grand opening of Sassafras Clothing Co. in Wildwood, she has an outlet to share that passion with the community. “I really wanted to own my own fashion boutique,” said Lauren, who lives in Wildwood. “I started with a booth at Painted Tree in Ballwin and expanded from there to Overland Park, Barrywoods, Maplewood and decided a storefront was the next move.”

The Greenway Quest, which launched earlier this week, is the annual hunt for hand painted rocks hidden along the 135 miles of greenways in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
Hazelwood summer camp teaches life lessons along with rowing on the Mon River
Hazelwood rises above the Monongahela River’s banks. Most of its residents, including its youngsters, have little contact with it, including water sports. The Center of Life summer camp program has challenged that with a rowing program for its 11- to 14-year-old participants through a partnership with Central Catholic High School’s crew team, led by alumnus and Syracuse graduate Anicet Mundundu.
