Alabama LB now ready to carry mantle of elite in-state LBs from Nick Saban era
Deontae Lawson knows the success of Alabama’s defense flows through him, but is he ready to be elite?. A native of Mobile, Ala., he has seen so many dominant inside linebackers stamp their name for the University of Alabama — anchoring some of the best defenses in the Nick Saban era. Lawson can start the Kalen DeBoer era for the Crimson Tide as a middle “Mike” linebacker to achieve excellence on defense. Alabama has several offensive leaders, including Jalen Milroe and Tyler Booker, but Booker is excited to see what Lawson does on the other side of the ball to captain the Tide to greatness.

EA Sports' 'College Football 25' sees early struggles for Kalen DeBoer's Alabama in Day 1 sim
On the final day of SEC Media Days, the media picked Alabama football to finish third in the conference in Kalen DeBoer's debut season with the Crimson Tide. EA Sports "College Football 25" is not as rosy about how Alabama's season will fare in the first year of the post-Nick Saban era. In a simulation of the 2024 Crimson Tide season run on Friday, the day of the worldwide release of the first college football video game...

The recruiting cycle never really ends for top programs across college football. The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to add premier playmakers even in the wake of Nick Saban's retirement. New Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer added 2025 5-star WR Caleb Cunningham to the Tide. Cunningham had earned ...

Dabo Swinney on a season without Nick Saban: ‘It’s good to know that he’s not going to get a rematch’
Clemson and Alabama had some memorable battles on the big stage during the four-team era of the College Football Playoff. It's hard to believe the two programs haven't played in over five years. As the CFP expands to 12 teams, a new age in college football has begun. The other indicator of that was the retirement of the sport's legendary head coach, Nick Saban.
Alabama 5-Star commit confirms there is ‘no flipping’ him ahead of Auburn visit
Alabama football’s five-star wide receiver commit, Caleb Cunningham is still expected to visit Auburn later this month. Alabama transfer WR draws worthy comparison to former All-SEC receiver for Crimson Tide
He had success at the University of Washington under Kalen DeBoer and JaMarcus Shephard, but how good will Germie Bernard be for Alabama football with the same two coaches?. Bernard, a Las Vegas native, drew a worthy comparison Wednesday at Southeastern Conference Media Days to a former All-SEC wide receiver that played for the Crimson Tide. He came in the spring to Tuscaloosa (Ala.) after helping the Huskies win a Pac-12 Championship and advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in 2023. Bernard recorded three receptions for 122 yards on A-Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium, giving Tide fans a taste of what could happen in the fall.
Alabama DL named to AFCA Good Hands Team Watchlist for 2024
His faith propelled him to be a defensive starter for Alabama football in 2023. Tim Kennan III, a Birmingham (Ala.) native, has become a leader for the Crimson Tide. Now at 305 pounds, the 6-foot-2 nose tackle finished last year with 38 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack, seven quarterback hurries, and a quarterback hurry — helping the Tide win a Southeastern Conference Championship. He is growing into his style on the field, but Kennan is special in the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham communities. Kennan recently held his youth football camp in Birmingham, proving smiles, laughter, fun, and teachable moments for everyone. He made the preseason watchlist for the Allstate AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Good Hands Team. The honor goes to a college football athlete who best demonstrates charity and giving back to his community. Kennan has an opportunity to have a marquee year in the coming fall.
