Olpe Downhome will go from sunrise to past susnet Saturday. Organizer Monica Meyer says activities start with bike races, a 5K water gun fun run, kids fishing derby and car show among the morning activities. Afternoon and evening highlights include a parade, Olpe Fire pulled pork meal, armwrestling competition, bed races and street dance.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The 91st Fiesta Topeka has come to a close after a five-day run. The celebration was stationed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. âWe thank Topeka from the bottom of our hearts for once again supporting us for the 91st year,â said Marisol Marcelo, the publicity chair of Fiesta Topeka. âItâs about our culture, our food, our traditions, and this year like every other year we were able to portray that to the public, and the public was able to come and experience it all.â

Although not a complete washout, a few showers and storms could linger on into Sunday afternoon and potentially even Monday. Topeka police Saturday afternoon were investigating the fatal shooting of a Lawrence man found the previous night in a vehicle at Holliday Square Shopping Center. No arrests had been made.
