This Friday, Carly Pearce will release her song 'Truck On Fire,' an anthem to revenge. Pearce took to social media showing excitement for her new release.

While truck-themed songs are familiar in country music, as are narratives of women expressing frustration towards men by targeting their trucks, this instance marks a unique twist: it may be the first time the singer sets fire to his truck. Some fans are comparing the song to those of country superstar Carrie Underwood. Underwood's song, 'Before He Cheats' has a similar backstory.

In an interview about the song, Carly said, "No one wants to be cheated on, but everyone wants to seek revenge. I wrote this song for every girl who has gone through a similar situation and dreams of wreaking havoc on her ex.”

'Truck on Fire' is from Pearce's new album, 'Hummingbird.' While on tour with Tim McGraw, she has been performing the song live and the audience seems to love the song. Pearce collaborated on the song with Justin Ebach and Charles Kelley of Lady A. She performed the song at the 2024 CMA Fest, as well.

When the video hit social media, the comments were all praising Pearce. One diehard fan said, "Great song off a superb album, filled with exquisite songs. I didn't think it could be better than previous albums but I was proven wrong!!!" Others were comparing her to Miranda Lambert on her fiery side. Recently, Lambert released her song, 'Wranglers' about setting a mans Wrangler jeans on fire. Country music ladies are clearly showing no mercy for a cheater.

Although the song may remind fans of other great women in country music, Pearce has also stuck to a unique sound and hopes fans recognize her authenticity. Carly said, “It is hard to write songs that don’t sound like anyone else. I just felt really confident in my place and my perspective.... I will say whatever feels true to me and not try to sugarcoat it.”

This track follows Carly's albums lead single 'We Don't Fight Anymore' featuring Chris Stapelton. The song hit the top 10 on the billboards, and has much success. Her journey to such success is marked by perseverance and talent, with breakthrough hits like "Every Little Thing" and "I Hope You're Happy Now," earlier in her career. Pearce shows no signs of slowing down when creating relatable music. She is set to start a 'Hummbird' tour in the UK and Europe in February.

Be ready to add 'Truck on Fire' to your playlist on July 29, wherever you stream your music.
