    Quarterbacks to Watch

    10. Baron Davis, Burlington Township. With over 1,500 yards passing last fall, Davis was one of the top passers in South Jersey. His 12 TD throws raised his career total to 21.

    9. Kristopher Foster, Glassboro. Grabbing the keys to one of the more electric offenses in the region, Foster put together a solid freshman season last fall, throwing for over 1,000 yards with 13 touchdowns.

    8. Ahmad Jones, Pleasantville. Jones orchestrated one of the best breakout seasons last fall. He threw for over 1,200 yards with 18 touchdowns and just three interceptions as a sophomore.

    7. Kendall Armstrong, Absegami. With back-to-back 1,300-plus yard seasons, the senior is one of the top passers in the region. He’s thrown for 33 career touchdowns, including 16 last fall.

    6. Cole Aquino, Washington Township. After earning the full-time starting job, Aquino proved to be a solid solder for the Minutemen. He completed 110 passes for over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns. Looking to take the next step for WT.

    5. Mahki Brunson, Camden. A versatile dual-threat QB, Brunson threw for over 1,300 yards, completely 64 percent of his passes, and rushed for close to 400 more. He’s a key to a potentially potent Panther offense.

    4. Anthony Tirico, Seneca. Who says a freshman quarterback can’t made an immediate impact? Tirico threw for 1,841 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his freshman season. According to football historian Chuck Langerman, the 1,841 passing yards were most by a South Jersey freshman (and third in state history for a freshman).

    3. John Franchini, Mainland. After seeing significant time as a freshman, Franchini shined in his first full season last fall, helping guide the Mustangs to a 14-0 record and state title. He owns a 31-to-3 touchdown-to-interception rate.

    2. Ty Costabile, Holy Spirit. In his first season running the Spartans’ offense, Costabile put together an impressive performance that included over 1,600 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. The junior has the ability to surpass those numbers this season.

    1. Jalen Parker, Winslow. While an elbow injury prematurely ended his season earlier, Parker made a significant impact during his freshman season. He threw for over 1,500 yards and 21 touchdowns in seven games. Not bad for what was supposed to be an understudy role. Parker has the keys to one of the most electrifying offenses in South Jersey.
