Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — A Coventry man died after he was hit by a vehicle over the weekend.

Police said first responders were called to the 2000 block of Nooseneck Hill Road just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday and arrived to find the man on the side of the road.

The victim, identified as 63-year-old Michael Danielson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who hit Danielson stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.

The investigation is being conducted by Coventry detectives and the accident reconstruction team.
