A junior computer software engineer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center announced her win of the Society of Women Engineers Helen Martha Sternberg Award for 2024. Molly “Meagan” Haradon, a Mansfield resident, has been working for the division since October 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Wentworth Institute of Technology and has worked on a variety of projects, including the redesign of the Mark 22 Mod2 Warhead Electronics Systems.

Breeze Airways is coming to Portsmouth Airport at Pease this fall
Travelers can get to Florida aboard the low-cost carrier. Breeze Airways will service a second Granite State airport beginning this fall, the airline announced on Wednesday. The low-cost carrier, which launched three years ago, will begin flying at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease in October. Breeze made its New Hampshire debut in June at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, with flights to Orlando and Charleston, S.C.
Washington Bridge demolition approved for $45.8M
The Washington Bridge demolition in Providence, Rhode Island, has officially been approved, according to NBC affiliate WJAR. The project is expected to cost $45.8 million. The Aetna Bridge Co., a Warwick-based company, is handling the project. However, there's no word on when the demolition will begin, but it's expected to be completed by Jan. 29, 2025.

East Providence police identify suspects in armed robbery
