Search underway after inmate escapes from Elba work camp
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Authorities are on the hunt for an Alabama inmate that escaped an Elba work camp on Friday morning. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, 48-year-old Alex Christopher Green escaped from the Elba Community Based Facility (CBF) at around 9:20 a.m. on July 26. He has been serving a 25-year sentence on first degree Assault charges out of Limestone County from 2006.
