    Sheriff: Shooting in Craigsville leaves one person injured

    CRAIGSVILLE — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting Monday night in Craigsville that left one person injured.

    In a press release, the Sheriff's Office said that the shooting occurred Monday July 1 at approximately 9:47 p.m. in the 450 block of Hite Hollow Road in Craigsville. The female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, per the release. The Sheriff's Office said that Craigsville Rescue Squad and Augusta County Fire and Rescue responded and transported the victim to Augusta Health.

    “This was an isolated incident that is still under investigation at this time,” Sheriff Donald Smith said in the release.
