MSA Safety releases 2023 Impact Report

Cranberry Township-based MSA Safety, a safety products, technologies and solutions company, recently released its 2023 Impact Report.

The report focuses on three areas within the company’s corporate social responsibility program: products and solutions, people, and planet.

Products and solutions explores how the company’s offerings protect people, places or the planet. People explains how the company’s actions focus on maintaining safety performance, including a work environment that’s physically and psychologically safe for employees. Planet explains how the company is on track to meet its 2030 emission reduction goals

“At MSA Safety, our mission is at the heart of everything we do,” Steve Blanco, MSA Safety president and CEO, said. “Throughout this year’s Impact Report, you’ll see how our mission informs our culture, and how the two are integrated into the way we design, manufacture and provide solutions that are making an impact in the world.”

MSA’s newly established Safety Impact Metric estimates the number of workers the company’s products and solutions help protect annually. In 2023, this was an estimated 40 million people globally.

“When our customers choose MSA, they put their trust in us,” Stephanie Sciullo, MSA Americas president, said.

MSA Safety employs more than 5,000 people in more than 40 locations worldwide. In 2023, it had revenue totaling $1.8 billion.
