Rahway PD Announces NJ Transit Suspension
RAHWAY, NJ — The Rahway Police Department announced, at approximately 5:10 p.m., on Sunday, July 21, that NJ Transit service is suspended from Newark to Metro Park due to lines down on the tracks. Edison Township Announces Line Up for House Music Festival
EDISON, NJ - The township has announced the upcoming house music festival. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th, at Papaianni Park from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Union Education Assoc. to Host Annual Town-Wide Block Party
UNION, NJ - A "Town-Wide Block Party", hosted by the Union Township Education Association (UTEA), is set for Tuesday, August 13, in Rabkin Park for all Union residents. "The UTEA tries to find ways to interact with our community," said Ann Margaret Shannon, UTEA President. “The UTEA is excited to mingle and share music, fun, games and a meal with our community."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER The fun will include music by a DJ, children’s games and bouncy houses, and a health fair featuring Optical Academy, Zumba, kickboxing, and yoga. Cuisine from local restaurants, including Cafe Z, Cioffi's, Cozy Corner, Johnny Napkins, Mama’s BBQ, and Qsina 8 will be available. Residents five years and up will receive a $10 food voucher (while supplies last). Visitors are asked to bring food to donate to the food pantry and to bring lawn chairs. The event, in partnership with the Township of Union, the Union Township Transportation Association, the Union Fire Department, the Union Police Department, the Union Recreation Department, and Optical Academy, will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rabkin Park. City of Elizabeth Announces 2024 National Night Out
ELIZABETH, NJ - Elizabeth’s National Night Out is making its annual return at 50 Winfield Scott Plaza. On every first Tuesday of August, a ‘National Night Out’ is held across the span of New Jersey. Numerous towns, including Elizabeth, will each host their own celebrations that are open to the public. Good Samaritan Replaces Missing Sundial at Clark's Historic Plantation Museum
CLARK, NJ — TAPinto Clark reported a few weeks back on the missing historic sundial over at the township's 17th century Dr. William Robinson Plantation Museum. Representatives of the museum have just announced that, while the sundial has not turned up, a new one was donated by an anonymous Good Samaritan, left on the very spot of the original.
