    RIPTA opens new electric bus charging station

    CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — RIPTA held an event Tuesday to mark the opening of the state’s first “in-line charging station” for electric buses.

    The station is located on Montgomery Avenue in Cranston.

    Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, and all four members of Rhode Island’s congressional delegation were on hand for the ribbon-cutting.
