Local House Restaurant & Bar relocating to larger space in Arnold

Grammy-winning indie-pop band Vampire Weekend brought its frabjous songs and vibe to Saint Louis Music Park in Maryland Heights on July 25. The last time the group visited St. Louis was the night that the Blues won the Stanley Cup, in 2019. Before the encore that night, Vampire Weekend took a few minutes to learn several chords of “Gloria” to commemorate the win, adding: “We didn’t want to learn to play ‘Gloria’ before the game. Side Project's Cory King on what's new for the acclaimed Maplewood brewery

Side Project Cellar—their Belgian-inspired beer, wine and spirits bar—earned a 2015 James Beard Award nomination for Outstanding Bar Program under Karen’s direction. Add to this the culinary firepower brought to the table by Side Project’s executive chef Adam Altnether, who was named one of Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” in 2014. There’s no question that the Kings are at the top of the region’s—and the country’s—beverage scene. King is humbled by the acclaim and feels appreciative about Side Project’s success to date.
