Lake Of The Ozarks Business Owner Rick Griffin Dies At 56
SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — An owner of Chic's N Dix HonkyTonk & Saloon unexpectedly passed away at the establishment Wednesday afternoon. Sunrise Beach police officers responded to a medical call at 3:33 p.m., July 24, and found 56-year-old Rick Griffin unconscious inside the building. Unfortunately, he died on scene. The department does not suspect foul play.
South St. Louis woman pleads guilty to fatally stabbing neighbor in 2022
ST. LOUIS — A south St. Louis woman was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to stabbing her neighbor to death in July 2022. Michelle B. Mitchell, 48, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. She fatally stabbed Robin Bonds, 56, in the Chapel View Apartments, located on the 4200 block of Michigan Avenue in the city's Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
Toddler dies in I-70 crash not in car seat; first responders remind public of free installations
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Investigators are still looking into a Thursday morning fatal accident on I-70 near the Salisbury exit. A three-year-old was killed after police say the driver hit a tractor-trailer after weaving through traffic at a high speed. The child was not in a car seat.
Teen shot in Jeff-Vander-Lou Thursday night
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis city police are investigating a shooting that injured a teen Thursday night in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood. Police said, according to the 16-year-old victim, he and two other friends were walking near the intersection of Sullivan Avenue and North Garrison Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when they heard gunshots, and the teen was struck.
