Creston Arrests

(Creston) Creston Police arrested six people over the weekend. The arrests ranged from driving while barred, Animal at large, OWI, and drug possession.

July 20:

*Mark Thomas Bregar, 24, 416 New York Avenue, was arrested at the intersection of Cherry and Townline. Bregar was charged with Driving while barred. Bregar was taken to the Union County Jail, where he was later released on $2000 cash or surety bond.

July 21:

*Ashley Dawn Vandel, 32, 800 S Walnut, was arrested at the Holiday Motel. Vandel was charged with Animal at large. Vandel was cited and released on Promise to Appear.

*Jenifer Lee Johnson, 41, Lenox, was arrested at the intersection of Russell and Peterson. Johnson was charged with Driving while Suspended. Johnson was taken to the Union County Jail, where she was later released on $300 cash or surety bond.

*Laura Ann Phelps, 51, Afton, was arrested at the intersection of Highway 34 and Pole. Phelps was charged with OWI 2nd Offense. Phelps was taken to the Union Couty Jail and then transported to the Adams County Jail, where she is being held on $2000 cash or surety bond.

July 22:

*Ronnie Colleen Abel, 44, 1503 N Lincoln, was arrested in the 500 Block W Adams. Abel was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Offense, nonmarijuana. Abel was taken to the Union County Jail and then transported to Adams County Jail, where she is being held on $5300 cash or surety bond.

*Vicki Jo Abell, 66, Indianola, was arrested at the Adams and New York intersection. Abell was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, 1st Offense. Abell was taken to the Union County Jail, where she was later released on $1300 cash or surety bond.
