(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The jackpot for a charitable raffle in the southwest suburbs has rolled over again and is now over a million dollars. That brings large crowds to the weekly drawings.

Each Wednesday at a sports bar and grill called "At the Office" in Crestwood, there's a drawing in the Queen of Hearts raffle that raises money for Park Lawn , which serves people with developmental disabilities.

Mark Dynia, Park Lawn's marketing manager, said no one has won the jackpot since October 2022.

He also said At the Office is packed each Wednesday night, because the winner gets more money by being there for the drawing.

"If that person is there, they get 60$ of the jackpot versus 50% if they are not. So, it's a great win either way but it pays to be there in person," Dynia said.

And, just how crowded is the bar and grill during the drawings….

"It's been a madhouse. We're basically wall to wall with people. We're packed in like sardines," Dynia said.

You can find more information on the raffle and how to buy tickets on the Park Lawn website .
