Coroner identifies 78-year-old man killed in southwest Jefferson County shooting
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 78-year-old man killed in a Valley Station shooting was identified Wednesday by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office. Gordon Ritchie was shot and killed at a home in the 15000 block of Dixie Highway, just south of Mill Creek Station. Louisville Metro Police officers responded around 9:15 p.m. Sunday on a trouble run. Ritchie died at the scene in what is believed to be a home invasion.

A man is dead after a shooting in downtown Louisville early Sunday morning. Louisville Metro police said around 1:30 a.m. officers were called to the 800 block of West Main Street, near the Louisville Slugger Museum, on the report of a shooting. They secured the area and then found a man inside a car who had been shot to death.

Louisville Metro Police said 6th Division officers responded around 10 p.m. to a report of an injury accident involving a pedestrian in the 3500 block of Bardstown Road. Officers arrived at the scene to find the man lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
