A lucky player in Oldham County recently purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth $10 million, the Kentucky Lottery said Tuesday.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls and the red Powerball selected in Monday night’s second Powerball Double Play drawing. The winning numbers are 1, 31, 33, 54 and 60 with the No. 26 Powerball.

Circle K No. 3305, located at 2900 Highway 22 in Crestwood, sold the winning ticket, according to the Kentucky Lottery.

Powerball winners in Kentucky have up to 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize . Winners should sign the backs of their tickets and keep them in a secure location until they can claim their prizes at the lottery’s headquarters at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville. Winners are advised to call the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment to claim their prize.

The $10 million winning ticket came through Powerball’s Double Play drawing , which is held following every Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The add-on feature costs $1 and gives players in select markets a chance to match their selected Powerball numbers in a separate drawing that offers a top prize of $10 million.

Notably, a player’s Powerball ticket’s multiplier does not apply to prizes won through a Double Play drawing.

In a statement released Monday, Kentucky Lottery President and CEO Mary Harville said the winning $10 million ticket marks the first top-tier Powerball Double Play prize won in Kentucky since the add-on feature launched in 2023.

“The Kentucky Lottery has winners every day, and it’s always extra special when we have a really big winner, especially on Powerball since it is one of our most popular games,” Harville said in a statement.

One lucky Kentucky Lottery player holds a ticket worth a whopping $25K a year for life

Powerball players are tasked with correctly picking five numbers between one and 69 and a Powerball between one and 26. The overall chances of winning any prize, starting at $4, are roughly 1 in 25. However, the odds of scoring a $10 million Double Play prize, just like Oldham County’s recent winner, are about 1 in 292.2 million.

With no jackpot winners reported for Monday’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity value of $95 million for Wednesday’s drawing. A winning ticket sold in Hardin County and worth $100,000 remains unclaimed a of Monday following a recent weekend drawing .
