Police investigating south St. Louis hit-and-run crash as homicide
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police are investigating the cause of death for a woman found fatally injured Wednesday night in St. Louis' Carondelet neighborhood. At about 10 p.m., the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that Accident Reconstruction investigators were called to a crash involving a person fatally struck at the intersection of Bellerive Boulevard and Minnesota Avenue.

Man gets 25 years in prison for shoving girlfriend off 7th-floor balcony at St. Louis hotel
ST. LOUIS — An Illinois man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after admitting to shoving his girlfriend off of a hotel balcony and leaving her in an alley back in 2021. According to charging documents, EMS workers found the woman naked in an alley in the 1500 block of South Theresa Avenue on June 30, 2021. The EMS workers said she was unable to move and was incoherent. She was hospitalized with a broken neck, a crushed spine and multiple injuries to internal organs but survived the fall.
Man admits to involuntary manslaughter in argument that led to deadly shooting on MetroLink train
ST. LOUIS — A man on Tuesday pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a man in 2022 after an argument on a MetroLink train. Quinton Howard, 24, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and five years for armed criminal action, with both sentences to run consecutively. He was originally charged with first-degree murder in the case.
Webster Police Arrest Suspect In Assault That Occurred Earlier This Month In Old Orchard
Webster Groves police have identified and arrested the suspect who is alleged to have assaulted two women in the parking lot of a business in Old Orchard earlier this month. Robert E. Merritt, 28, of Fenton, was charged July 22 with a felony for first-degree aggravated sexual abuse and first-degree property damage in connection with the incident that occurred in the 600 block of East Lockwood Avenue the night of July 10, according to the Webster Groves Police Department. He is being held without bond.
