    2024-05-08

CRIVITZ — The Crivitz High School softball team swung a hot bat in a 10-6 victory over Niagara in Monday’s Marinette and Oconto Conference tilt.

The Wolverines tagged Elesia Sweig for 19 hits, seven of which went for extra bases, while Taryn Tracy and Izabella Wesoloski both had multi-RBI afternoons.

Crivitz grabbed a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed again, plating three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings before tacking on a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Tracy was the winning pitcher on Monday, giving up three hits and one earned run alongside a free pass and four strikeouts across two innings.

Mallory Sanicki went 2-of-3 at the dish with a run scored, a double and two RBIs.

Kiya Brand collected four hits and five trips to the plate and added a pair of stolen bases.
