    2 arrested on drug charges in Christian County after found unconscious in vehicle

    CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — Two people were taken into custody Wednesday after authorities discovered them unresponsive inside a vehicle that reportedly contained multiple drugs.

    The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch near East Princeton Street and Crofton-Fruithill Road in Crofton at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.

    When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two individuals — identified by officials as 32-year-old Joshua L. Scott and 32-year-old Amber D. Crook — unconscious inside the vehicle. EMS units managed to revive both of them at the scene.

    Meanwhile, authorities said they searched the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a “significant quantity of drug-related items,” including methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, suboxone strips, other unidentified narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

    According to the sheriff’s office, after Scott and Crook were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for medical clearance, they were brought to the Christian County Jail and charged with the following offenses:

    • First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth)
    • Trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense)
    • Possession of synthetic drugs (first offense)
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia

    “The Christian County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to combating drug-related activity and ensuring public safety,” officials said in a statement released on Thursday, Aug. 1.
