Brookings Summer Arts Festival attendees not deterred by heat
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The 53rd annual Brookings Summer Arts Festival was open to the public on Saturday morning. The art festival usually takes place every second weekend of July at the Pioneer Park. This year, it observed around 175 artists present from all over the nation.

Places of Innovation is the Smithsonian Exhibit being hosted at the library. The goal is to educate the social, artistic, cultural, and historical innovations small towns, much like the ones in South Dakota, have contributed to the larger world.
