Howard treatment center helping homeless with addiction

(KELO) – An addiction treatment center in Howard is helping homeless people and others recover from their addictions. iRecover.US began in April 2023 and has already helped over 200 people go through their four to eight-week program. A lot of those people, the organization said, are experiencing homelessness, which adds an extra layer to their recovery.

Mitchell Second Chance High School earns special kudos from Culver’s

Madison Central reduces free school lunch days, changes high school policies
The Madison Central School District will only offer one free day of lunch this year. In past years, about a week of free breakfast and lunch was provided to students. Business Manager Mitch Brooks said this is done to give families and students more time to fill out applications for the free and reduced school lunch program.

Madison High School Gives Update on New Cell Phone Policy
Students in Madison will be heading back to school one week from today. The Madison Central School Board held their final regular meeting before the start of the school year on Monday, and reviewed changes to the school handbooks. Madison High School Principal Adam Shaw highlighted some of the changes, which include a new policy for cell phones at MHS.
