Gravel portion of Washington Ave. closed today
Beginning today, a portion of Washington Avenue will be closed to public travel. The City of Madison says the closure is for utility construction work as part of the Trojan Village Addition Development. The closure will remain in place until construction is complete on that section of the roadway. The portion that will be closed is the gravel portion of Washington Avenue between 15th Street and the DSU Foundation Building, at 1400 N. Washington Avenue.
ORR board tables AI policy discussion
The Oldham-Ramona-Rutland School Board postponed their discussion of a potential policy regarding artificial intelligence (AI) within the district at their July 9 meeting. In recent years, AI has emerged as one education's most hot-button issues, with superintendent Dawn Hoeke saying that because of this, many districts have held off forming official policies to better gauge the response from other school systems as well as the state at large.
