VICTORIA, Texas- For the first time in about two decades, the Yoakum Bulldog and Bloomington Bobcat programs experiencing success.

The Yoakum Bulldogs have their first winning season in 18 years and their first playoff appearance in 20 years. They just finished second behind a tough Edna Cowboy team. The bulldogs won only 4 games last year and went 3-9 in district.  They did a total 180 and Yoakum alum turned coach Trevonte Heights is proud of the guys but isn't shocked.

"I'm super proud of these guys. I mean it's not a surprise because the kids actually put in the work to get the results that they got."

Another program having a historic season for their program, the Bloomington Bobcats. For the first time in at least two decades, they have claims to a district title. However, they finished in a three way tie. To decide the seedings, they flipped a coin. Schulenberg is the first seed, Bloomington is second and Flatonia gets the third seed.
