    Wharton Police arrest a man on nine charges

    WHARTON, Texas - Wharton Police arrested a 28-year-old man Tuesday.

    Darrius Smith of Wharton faces nine charges, including burglary of a home and assault of a family member.

    He is in the Wharton County Jail in lieu of $72,000 bond.

    Information from the Wharton County Sheriff's Office.
