    Friday's Sunrise Forecast

What we're tracking: Upper level high pressure is officially on its slow northward exit pushing towards the Central Great Plains. A weak upper low pressure trough riding around the high dome will pick up abundant moisture as it moves south over the Gulf. After pushing into the Gulf, this upper low will head west towards coastal Texas bringing rain chances just about every day next week. This system will not be a tropical cyclone. Rather, clouds pick up and temps drop with this low bringing rain and moisture through our atmosphere. Alert Days: <NONE>

    Future Upper Air Tracker

Tropical Activity: As of now, tropical development throughout the Atlantic is not likely over the next 10 days. Currently in the Atlantic, we are watching two tropical waves. One wave just exited the W Africa coast yesterday and is crawling slowly westbound. Little convection can be seen around this wave's center, although I will continue watching this wave as computers want to take it possibly into the Caribbean by next weekend... The second wave in question is still over the Sahara. Both waves will be monitored closely over the following week as the Climate Prediction Center ( CPC ) suggests a greater than 60% chance of development going into late next week and weekend. Find their extended outlook here .

Next 24 hours: Showers and non-severe thunderstorms will be possible today. Chances for rain today at 30% for isolated showers and storms for some in the morning, especially communities closest to the coast. Showers should cut off by noontime, but more spotty thundershowers could develop around the area this afternoon. Tomorrow, spotty showers are possible again with chances at 20%. Highs finally drop out of the 100s with all seeing highs in the 90s today and tomorrow. Karnes and Gonzales county may hit 100 for a moment today. Generally cloudy skies today. Tonight, clouds begin decreasing followed by mostly sunny skies with a few clouds tomorrow.
