    Wharton County burn ban scheduled to begin Thursday

    WHARTON, Texas - Wharton County will go under a burn ban starting Thursday morning.

    The ban is for 90 days or until drought conditions no longer exist.

    The burn ban may not go into effect if Wharton County gets enough rain before Thursday.

    Information from the Wharton County Sheriff's Office.
