The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent gears up for Hunger Action Month. The entire month of September is dedicated to people who have food insecurity or not having access to decent food. Citizens can help out by either donating or reaching out to neighbors. Cadle says donating $1 will help them provide eight meals.

VICTORIA, Texas - As Hunger Action Month approaches, the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent is gearing up for a busy September. This nationwide initiative aims to raise awareness about hunger in the United States, where one in six people depends on food assistance to keep their families fed. The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent serves 11 counties in the Crossroads region, working to address this critical issue locally.

Food Bank Director Robin Cadle is calling on the community to get involved through volunteering, connecting with neighbors in need, or making donations. She emphasizes that every dollar contributed provides eight meals for families facing food insecurity.
