Welcome to Earth? Police pull over ‘UFO’ with expired licensed plate

A police officer had an 'out of this world' experience - when he pulled over a UFO-like vehicle .

Darin Layman spotted the unusual vehicle along Interstate 44 in Cuba, Missouri, on Friday (June 28).

Images show the UFO-style vehicle constructed out of metal panels and a clear, spherical roof.

The vehicle was stopped for committing a lane violation and displaying an expired license plate out of Indiana.

In a Facebook post , the Crawford County Sheriff's Office stated that the "friendly humanoids" were found to "have come in peace".

As well as the written warning, the driver was also "warned about our strict enforcement of warp speed on the interstate" and to "keep his phasers on stun only while traveling".

Layman said in a statement: "Given the good nature of the driver and the interesting nature of the vehicle, we opted to provide a fun social media post for our community.

"It was a great interaction and we wished him safe travels to his destination."
