CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department and the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office shared that it’s been smooth sailing thus far through day one of Rock the South.

Police Chief David Nassetta said as of 8 p.m. they had not yet arrested anyone.

“So far, so good,” Nassetta said. “A few juveniles were drinking in the parking lot and one person who had a heat injury earlier in the afternoon. I confirmed with booking – no arrests, just a couple of people ejected at the request of event security.”

CCSO Communications Director Chad Whaley said traffic was managed well by law enforcement involved and by 8 p.m. most of the traffic seemed to be done.

“We still have some drivers coming in, but it has not been heavy like it has been in the past,” Whaley said.

Nassetta shared the area is not as crowded and there is lots of parking still available.

There have been no major incidents to report.
