PARIS (WNDU) - Notre Dame sophomore women’s fencer Eszter Muhari has won a bronze medal for Hungary in the Paris Olympics. According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune, the 21-year-old Budapest native defeated Estonia’s Nelli Differt 15-14 in the bronze-medal match for women’s epee on Saturday. The match featured nine ties and required sudden-death overtime.

SYRACUSE — Multiple departments responded to a fire at Lake Tool & Die in Syracuse. Just after 12:15 p.m. Saturday, July 27, Turkey Creek Fire Territory responded to an initial report of a fire alarm at the business, located at 1009 W. Polywood Way, near Polywood. Upon arrival, TCFT immediately noticed smoke and called for full assists from several area fire departments.

Sprint Car driver Stevie Sussex had a fire in his vehicle on Friday at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana. He was competing during the Indiana Sprint Week. Arts Commission invests in Lubeznik Center for the Arts to strengthen Michigan City through arts and creativity
Yesterday, the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced it has awarded $18,215 to Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) through the Arts Organization Support grant program. During its June 14 Quarterly Business Meeting, the Commission approved funding recommendations for the Arts Project Support and Arts Organization Support grant programs. Between the two grant programs, 338 organizations in 77 Indiana counties are receiving funding.
