Drought conditions spread in Ohio, though Northwest Ohio improves
CLEVELAND, Ohio—While some places in Northwest Ohio improved from last week’s dry conditions, more than a quarter of Ohio is now experiencing a moderate drought. Due to below-normal rainfall, southern Ohio counties have now begun experiencing moderate drought, meaning 28% of the state is now experiencing drought conditions, an increase of 21% from the previous week, according to Wednesday’s update from the U.S. Drought Monitor.
