According to the sheriff's office, responding deputies arrived shortly after the robbery around 12:39 a.m. Deputies learned that two masked and gloved men brandished a firearm at the store's associate and stole money from the cashier register. The masked suspects fled in a getaway vehicle prior to the deputies’ arrival.

According to the sheriff's office, while deputies were conducting a preliminary investigation, another 7-Eleven on Homestead Road was being robbed.
